I’ve crafted three hands-on projects that flex creativity, teach fresh skills and guarantee a stunning takeaway no matter your artistic level. I believe EVERYONE is creative and I’ll prove it.

  • Pick any one workshop from the menu. I provide all materials, tools and guidance to guarantee success and tons of fun. All you need to bring is yourself and any playlist requests!

  • Everything in ESSENTIAL, plus bespoke design tweaks - your brand’s palette, motifs or logos woven into the project. Think terrazzo chips in your signature hues or a cyanotype cover stamped with your iconography.

  • I’ll design a one-off workshop activity just for you - tailored to your brand story, objectives and aesthetic. From concept sketch to final keepsake, this is a truly custom creative session.

Surface Riot

Paint, tear, and collage your own bold papers, then compose and apply them to a vessel to create a one-off art object. It’s messy, tactile, and charged with colour - the kind of making that feels as good as it looks.

Blueprint

Create cyanotype cover papers using light and shadow, then bind them with gathered materials and traditional techniques to produce a journal that feels raw, archival and beautiful.

Assemblage

Cut, layer, and translate a paper collage into stencils, then print your design onto fabric. Layering colour, texture, and detail, you’ll create a wallhanging that carries the joy of both play and precision - a textile statement ready to hang.

Some teams want the raw studio energy. Others want to show off their own space. Either way, I can bring the full experience to you.

Whether it’s a brand-new office, a showroom activation, or a campaign venue, I’ll pack up the paints, aprons and styling touches and create the same bold, hands-on atmosphere in your world.

ABOUT STUDIO EVIE

Located in Mt Albert, Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland my studio is a light-filled, ever-changing creative space. It isn’t your typical event space, it’s a working ideas factory and a place to get inspired. Crowded with colour, quirky projects, unique furniture and decor - there’s nowhere quite like it.

Parking: 3 off-street parks and unlimited (free) street parking, no stress!

Getting Here: Studio Evie is located right near access to both State Highway 1 and 20.
10 minutes from the CBD.

Hours: Workshops can be booked anytime including weekends and evenings subject to availability.

Accessibility: Our main workshop space is step-free and wheelchair-friendly, but please note the bathroom is up steps and not wheelchair accessible. If you have any mobility needs or would like me to arrange assistance, just let me know when you book and I’ll make sure you’re fully supported.

Capacity: For seated workshops 20 participants is our recommended maximum but please contact me if you want to explore options.

That’s me, hi!

I’m Evie Kemp - designer, illustrator and all-round craft obsessive. I’ve spent the last decade:

  • Partnering with brands like Squarespace, Dulux, Logitech, Bunnings, MINI and more on exclusive, high-end activations and projects

  • Turning up the dial on colour and pattern across fashion, furniture upcycles and interiors projects

  • Hosting workshops that balance serious design skills with fun and flair

Now I’m transforming my studio into Auckland’s go-to creative playground, and I can’t wait to make a beautiful mess with you.

I’ll guide you through every step - curating colour, sprinkling in plenty of fun and making sure you walk away with a keepsake you (and your feed) will love.

  • Workshops are available year-round, but Q4 (Oct–Dec) is the busiest season for brand activations and team events. I take on a limited number of sessions each quarter to keep the experience premium so early booking is recommended.

  • Anyone from complete beginners to seasoned creatives, our projects are designed so every guest walks away with new skills, confidence and something display-worthy.

  • All materials, tools, splatter-ready aprons, a curated playlist and light refreshments. Add-ons like catering, or a media package are extra but a finalised quote will be sent to you to confirm.


    ELEVATED and EXTRAORDINARY tier workshops also include a gift bag for each participant.

  • Our ESSENTIAL package allows for up to 12 guests, ELEVATED and EXTRAORDINARY include up to 15.

    You can add on additional guests (up to maximum of 20) for an additional $195pp.

    For larger groups please contact me to discuss potential options.

  • Studio Evie is located in Mt Albert, Auckland, New Zealand. You’ll be sent the full address and parking information with your booking.

  • Possibly the most important question! Think ‘studio chic’ - clothes you don’t mind potentially getting a little messy (you’ll get an apron!) and closed toe shoes. I speak from experience when I suggest sleeves you can push up and out of the way!

    • All Tiers: Reschedule up to 10 days before at no cost.

    • Cancel up to 14 days before: Full deposit refund, minus any bespoke design fee (see below).

    • Cancel within 14 days: Deposit is non-refundable but can transfer to another date.

    Bespoke Design Fee (EXTRAORDINARY only):
    Once your custom workshop plan is signed off, a 25% design fee is drawn from your deposit. That fee is always non-refundable, but the remainder of your deposit follows the rules above.

  • All prices are in NZD and exclude GST which will be added on invoice.

    A 50% deposit secures your date and is due within 7 days. Final balance is due 14 days before your session.

  • ELEVATED adds your brand’s colours/motifs to any menu project. WOW is a fully bespoke session built around your story - just let me know your brief!

  • Yes! Absolutely. While my studio is designed for the best possible experience and photographs beautifully, I also bring the workshop to you for brand launches, office activations or special venues.

    Off-site service is available with a flat Auckland fee and custom quotes for nationwide events.

  • My workshops are designed for private groups, they’re created specifically for brands, PR activations and teams. At this stage I don’t run ticketed public sessions, but I do share behind-the-scenes and outcomes on my social channels if you’d like a peek inside.
